This study revealed that we can store kinnow fruit up to 80 days in clod storage without any significant losses in health and quality of fruts by using an integrated approach, which includes Bavistin @ 0.05% + Boric acid @ 1% + HDPE packaging. There were only 2.1, 3.11 and 4.60% spoilage losses after 30, 60 and 80 days of storage, respectively, in the fruits which received the integrated approach as compared to those fruits which received the individual treatment of higher doses of Bavistin, Boric acid and only HDPE packaging. As well, total soluble solids, reducing sugar and ascorbic acid contents were also higher in those fruits which received the integrated approach. From this experiment it was concluded that we can safely store the kinnow up to 80 days at cold storage by using intergrated approach.
