บทคัดย่อ

Transcript of a homolog of aflR, a regulatory gene for aflatoxin synthesis in Aspergillus parasiticus, was not detected in Aspergillus oryzae strains.

Some strains of Aspergillus oryzae were shown to have homologues of aflR, a regulatory gene for aflatoxin synthesis in A. parasiticus. Transcription of an aflR homologue was examined in strains of A. oryzaw having the homologues, using PCR coupled with reverse transcription. No PCR producst was obtained when the RNA prepared form the A. oryzae strains cultivated under aflatoxin producing condition was used as template for amplification of the aflR cDNA. By contract, a PCR product of the expected size was obtained with RNA  from A. parasiticus processed by the same procedure.
