Rapid determination of fumonisin FB1 in corn products by high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray mass spectrometry.

A rapid method requiring no additional cleanup or purification of the sample extract is described for the quantitative determination of FB1 in corn products. The mithod uses HPLC-electrospray MS. Using labelled FB1 –D-6  as an internal standard, the quantification limit for FB1 was set at 20 mg/kg sample.
