Physical Properties of Dry Betel Nut

The purpose of this research was to determine some physical characteristics and mechanical properties of dry betel nut. Methodology comprised reference measurement, standard testing and conventional measuring device. The physical characteristics and mechanical properties were weight, dimensions, volume, specific gravity, roundness, sphericity, porosity; coefficient of friction and angle of repose. Results showed that all the parameters of property except sphericity were significantly affected by size at the significance level of 5%. Statistics of the parameters were detailed in the paper.
