Analysis of variation trend of contribution of technology progress of Chinese citrus industry in recent 20 years
Based on the measurement of the contribution to the science and technology progress of Chinese Citrus industry, this paper computes the progress ratios of science and technology of citrus in Chinaby adopting the input-out Time Series Cross Section data of Chinese Citrus and the deduced formula of total productivity. The research result of this paper indicates the following: 1. At present, the contribution ratio of citrus is just an index highly related to policy orientation. 2. The ratios fluctuated with a rising trend in the last 20 years. The average value reached 49.73% while the contribution ratio of Smart Progress and that of Scale Economy Effect were 14.342% and 35.38% respectively. 3. The overall trend of the contribution ratios of science and technology in the major production areas demonstrated increasing. But there existed significant differences and imbalance. 4. The contribution of the input of material expenditure to Citrus industry has steadily been on the rise. 5. The scale economy played and important role in enhancing the output of Chinese Citrus in the past 20 years. According to the research, government is recommended to increase the science and technology to the west of China, and to add the planting areas in order to form mass production. In the course of development, it’s advisable to establish proper warning mechanism and a complete marketing system.
