Dracaena is mostly grown as indoor plant grown in pots using different compositions of growing media. This study was undertaken to check out the effect of different potting media consisting mushroom compost, leaf manure, farm yard manure and peat moss. The dracaena cutting was planted in the different combination of these potting media. The effect of the potting media on different plant characters including root length, number of leaves, and quality of the leaf, plant height and root-shoot ratio were measured. The physical and chemical properties of the potting media before and after the completion of the required period were also measured. Experiment was laid out according to Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with fifteen treatments and four replications. Data were analyzed by standard statistical techniques. From the results it is concluded that the T14 (sand +mushroom compost +farm yard manure + peat (1:1:1:1)showed the best result for the production of dracaena plants. T14 medium is considered best medium due to its texture, structure, density, consistency, saturation percentage, color, organic matter, as well as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium concentration.
