Experiments were conducted to evaluate some introduced potato cultivars with respect to their postharvest behaviour and to assess their postharvest losses in refrigerated storage at 5°C-7°C and 40%-50% relative humidity. The evaluated cultivars were Diamant, Alpha, Agria, Arinda, Monalisa, Nicola, Ajax, Spunta, Marfona and Draga. They showed no significant differences in weight loss and total loss percentages, but showed significant differences with respect to shriveling, rotting and sprouting percentages. All cultivars started to sprout after 5 months in storage except Spunta and Marfona which started to sprout after 4 months. Nicola produced the highest rotting percentage. The different types of losses increased with increase in storage duration
