The harvesting continues to be the most expensive activity in the olive grove. In order to reduce these costs, in this work the influence has been evaluated of the application by leaf of ethephon (ET) and of solutions of ion phosphate, in the form of MKP and of phosphate monoamonico (MAP) about the effectiveness of shooting down of fruits by means of vibration of trunks. The obtained results show that so much MKP to 3% as MAP to 1,5% combined with ET to 500 ppm can reduce, in more or smaller measure and always depending on factors of the application, climate and of the cultivars, the fruit retention force in front of a control without treatment and they have increased the effectiveness of shooting down of the fruit. On the other hand the applied treatments have not increased in a significant way the leaf fall regarding the control.
