บทคัดย่อ

Temperature-compensating films for modified atmosphere packaging of fresh produce.

Temperature responsive gas permeable films based on side chain crystallizable polymers have been developed that can match or exceed the increasing respiration rates of fresh produce subjected to temperature fluctuations. The development of the films is discussed and experimental results of test produce packages are compared with computer simulations. There is potential to use this film to compensate for temperature fluctuations in the cold chain of storage and distribution.
