บทคัดย่อ

Computer vision for produce inspection.

This paper reviews the use of computer vision systems for inspection of fruits and vegetables. The nature of computer vision is discussed, the structure of typical systems described, and advantages and disadvantages outlined. The application of the technology to inspection is described with reference to previous work. Various methods of producing the image and handling the data are outlined using examples of recent research. Anticipated developments in relevant technologies are mentioned and their impact on future trends discussed. It is concluded that inspection systems based on computer vision will grow in importance and their capability will increase as developments in the sensing and computer science continue to take place.
