บทคัดย่อ

A new postharvest rot of peaches in Canada caused by Mucor piriformis.

A postharvest decay of Redhaven peaches in a commercial cold store (3-4 deg C) was identified as Mucor rot caused by M. piriformis. This is the first report of Mucor rot on peaches in Canada. Under controlled conditions in the lab. the fungus significantly decayed peaches at 5 deg C within 10 days. The aetiology and control of this disease are discussed.
