Triadimefon, imazalil and triadimenol were used to control Thielaviopsis black rot caused by T. (Ceratocystis) paradoxa on pineapple cultivars Red Spanish and Smooth Cayenne in the Canary Islands. Triadimenol gave the best control but none of the fungicides gave complete disease control. Red Spanish was more prone to black rot than Smooth Cayenne. This paper was presented at the Symposium on tropical fruit in international trade held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, on Jun. 4-9, 1989.
