บทคัดย่อ

Agrotechnical basis for increasing the yield and quality of local tea.

The measures recommended to counteract the long-term deterioration in tea productivity and quality are discussed in relation to tea plantations in western Georgia. The measures recommended are correct choice of site, establishment of new plantations, soil preparation, selection of high-quality and productive cultivars such as Kolkhida and Kimyn', the use of vegetatively propagated planting material, early culling of non-standard plants, correct pruning and plucking, and timely postharvest handling and processing.
