บทคัดย่อ

Carambola and bilimbi.

The plants and fruits of carambola (Averrhoa carambola) and bilimbi (A. bilimbi) and their cultivars are described. The required soil and climatic conditions, propagation, cultural practices (including land preparation, irrigation, fertilizers, pruning, and weed, pest and disease control), harvesting, handling and storage are discussed briefly. Their uses (both for food and other purposes), processing, and marketing for use in Trinidad and Tobago and for export are considered, and the nutritive value of carambola is tabulated.
