บทคัดย่อ

Low-temperature storage as a quarantine treatment for kiwifruit infested with Dacus tryoni (Diptera: Tephritidae).

'Hayward' kiwifruit were artificially infested with immature stages of Dacus tryoni [Bactrocera tryoni] and stored at 1 plus or minus 0.5 deg C. Comparison of dose-mortality data from 6 replicated tests with eggs and 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-instar larvae after cold storage for up to 12 days showed that 1st-instar larvae were the most tolerant of cold. None of >40 000 1st-instar larvae treated survived to pupation after storage at 1 plus or minus 0.5 deg C for 12 days.
