บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest cleaning of sugarbeet.

A mobile Holmer RRL 1200 machine of German manufacture, designed to clean sugarbeet stored in the field prior to its transportation to sugar beet factories is described and its technical parameters are given. The machine consists of an input hopper with a mobile base, a cleaning spoke wheel, a loading mechanism, and an hydraulic system. During tests, about 5200 t of sugarbeet with 45-50% soil was processed; about 20% of the soil remained on the beet after cleaning. A max. output of 140 t/h was achieved; mechanical damage to beet was <10%.
