Biological control of postharvest fruit diseases.

After an outline of the development of postharvest fruit diseases and the microflora of fruits, the development of biological methods for control of these diseases is reviewed, with sections on the approaches and methods used, characteristics, activity and selection of the biological control agents. Examples of biological disease control are given for both temperate and tropical fruits.
