บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest storage and preservation of tropical crops.

Postharvest losses of tropical crops and methods of minimizing damage are reviewed. Toxinogenic moulds isolated from some tropical crops are shown in tabular form. Storage and preservation methods are examined in relation to specific crops. Physical methods of controlling postharvest losses are particularly examined, and attention is given to mycotoxin control programmes in developing countries. These are of considerable importance from both economic and nutritional points of view.
