บทคัดย่อ

Losses in agricultural production and ways to reduce them.

Postharvest losses in transport, processing and storage are measured for most farm products of the former USSR. These losses are very high: for cereals 30 Mt or 14% of the gross harvest, for potatoes and sugarbeet 9% (6.5 Mt and 8 Mt). If these losses are to be reduced, work processes at all levels must be improved and technical equipment must be increased and improved. Very little progress has been made in these fields in recent years.
