Fungal degradation of potatoes, Trichosanthes dioica, bananas and pawpaws was investigated in samples from 4 different markets in Gaya, Bihar, India. The most commonly found fungi were Mucor spp., Rhizopus spp., Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, Penicillium spp., Alternaria spp. and Fusarium spp.
