บทคัดย่อ

A potato store made from light metal was developed which is intended for postharvest processing, storage and pre-production treatment of tubers. The store is cooled by an ammonia refrigerating plant which improved on conventional air distribution systems, and the temp. and humidity are kept constant by an automatic control system. The dimensions and functions of each part of the stores are described, and to determine its efficiency it was compared with a conventional reinforced concrete and brick store. The main advantages were the speed with which it can be constructed, its thermal insulation properties and the reduction in crop damage. A disadvantage was the cost.
