บทคัดย่อ

Machinery for the harvest and post-harvest processing of tomatoes.

Problems of mechanized tomato harvest are discussed, and 2 tomato harvesters manufactured in the USSR (KP-9 and KTUS-200) are compared with some foreign combines (USA, Italy). The machines were tested in the Odessa area and their harvesting speed, efficiency and the degree of crop damage were assessed. A postharvest processing unit designed to clean and sort the mechanically harvested crop is described; its output is up to 15 t/h. Adaptations to increase efficiency of the described machinery were planned for 1991.
