บทคัดย่อ

Zum Auftreten des Schimmelkafers Cryptophagus subfumatus Kraatz an lagerndem Knoblauch (Allium sativum L.).

Batches of garlic from commercial growers, plot trials and small producers in Germany were stored under ventilated conditions for 5-6 months (mid Sep.-early Apr.). After storage, the garlic from small producers was found to be infested with C. subfumatus larvae at levels ranging from 0.5 to 10.0% by weight, whereas that from the other provenances remained free from infestation, in spite of being kept in the same store. Nearly all batches had been colonized by Penicillium and Botrytis spp. Although these moulds represent a food source for the beetle, there was no significant correlation between infestation and colonization levels.
