บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest irrigation influences budbreak of 'Perlette' grapevines.

In experiments in the Coachella Valley, California, in 1987 and 1988, grapevine cv. Perlette plants trained as a bilateral cordon were irrigated after harvest until 15 Sep. or 1 Dec. Irrigation was applied at a standard rate based on the reference crop evapotranspiration, historical water needs, a crop coefficient (Kc) of 0.6 and soil moisture content. Irrigation was also applied at 150, 87.5 and 62.5% of this standard rate. Budbreak in the following year was earlier when irrigation ceased in Sep. than when it continued until Dec. Reducing the amount of irrigation supplied also advanced budbreak in 1989.
