บทคัดย่อ

Retrospect and prospects of viticulture in Northern India.

This review discusses the history, current status and future prospects of viticulture in Northern India, where the subtropical climate causes some problems not encountered in tropical and temperate viticulture. In Northern India, the fruiting season is short due to the onset of monsoon weather in June/July. Methods for hastening bud burst and ripening are described, and vegetative, flowering and fruiting disorders and their control, vineyard management, and postharvest and marketing problems are discussed.
