บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest handling, storage and transport of Colombian fruits.

The storage and transport of fruits produced in Colombia and destined for export are briefly discussed under the following headings and subheadings: physiological and technical concepts for storage (physiology, refrigeration and CA); and recommendations for storage and transport of fruits (quality requirements, guidelines for management of stores and means of transport, temperatures, RH and maximum storage time, choice of a cold store, precooling, control of storage conditions, air exchange, management of fruit load, and storage and/or refrigerated transport in CA). Data are also tabulated on numerous aspects of storage of 14 fruit species including avocados, bananas, mandarins, mangoes, oranges, pawpaws and pineapples.
