บทคัดย่อ

The golden apple (Spondias dulcis Forst.) in the West Indies: research, development and markets.

S. dulcis is in increasing demand as a fruit crop in the West Indies, but at present its cultivation is largely restricted to isolated plants growing among other crops. Its present distribution, plant and fruit characteristics, cultivation (including propagation, cultivars, planting systems and pests and diseases), harvesting, postharvest handling, and potential as a commercially viable crop in the West Indies are discussed.
