Emerging panicles on 20-year-old grafted mango cv. Dashehari trees were tagged at weekly intervals from the last week of Dec. to the first week of Feb. Panicles emerging during Jan. had the best morphophysiological and productivity attributes. Postharvest storage quality was highest for fruits harvested from panicles emerging in Jan., with lower weight loss, less shrinkage and longer shelf life than fruits from panicles emerging in Dec. and Feb.
