Data are presented on the heat per t of fruit generated by respiration of apples, pears and plums at different storage temperatures between 0 and 20 deg C; on the CO2 production in 1.5-21% O2 and 0% CO2 at 3.3 deg , expressed as a percentage of the CO2 production in the outside atmosphere; and on the relative respiration intensity of apples in 3-20% O2 and 0-5% CO2. Factors affecting moisture loss during and after storage are also discussed.
