บทคัดย่อ
The main nutritional factors affecting fruit storage are discussed. Fruit N and petiole nitrate contents have been shown to be significantly related to fruit softening. Postharvest Ca treatment reduces the rate of softening of fruits in storage but can cause some pitting. Other minerals linked to softening are B and Cl. The incidence of Botrytis in storage was linked to N:Ca ratio in the fruit.
