บทคัดย่อ

Anticipated maize harvest in Entre Rios province.

Research was carried out to evaluate the effect of grain m.c. at harvest time on maize harvesting losses. Maize was harvested at 4 different m.c., 26.5, 22.9, 15.3 and 13.4%. Data were collected on grain m.c., grain yield, grain losses before and during harvest. It was found that as grain m.c. decreases total harvesting losses increase. However, an economic analysis showed that although harvesting losses decrease with increasing m.c., total costs increase because of higher postharvest drying costs.
