Using LEVEL5 OBJECT to develop an object-oriented expert system to diagnose postharvest chilling injury on fresh fruits and vegetables.

Market life of certain fresh fruits and vegetables may be shortened by chilling injury. Diagnosis of chilling injury is difficult; an expert is usually required. This paper describes an expert system being developed with LEVEL5 OBJECT that will help diagnose chilling injury.
