Overview of analytical methods for mycotoxin contamination in maize and peanuts.

The chemical analysis of maize and groundnuts for mycotoxin contamination from sampling and sample preparation to confirmatory tests is outlined. Determination of the purity of mycotoxin standards, theoretical aspects of concn measurements, calibration of the spectrophotometer, determination of concn of mycotoxin standards and mycotoxin standard solution concn are described. Apparatus and reagents, and suppliers of mycotoxin standards are listed.
