Human health hazards associated with mycotoxins are briefly discussed, with particular reference to acute mycotoxicoses such as ergotism, alimentary toxin aleukia, acute cardiac beriberi and onyalai, and chronic mycotoxicoses caused by aflatoxins and ochratoxins.
