บทคัดย่อ

Prospects for washing and grading sweet potatoes before curing and storage.

Washing and grading sweet potatoes before curing and storage results in a higher quality product, lower production costs and utilization of a higher percentage of the crop. Research in this area has been ongoing for several decades and is summarized. Many of the factors that influence sweet potato quality are poorly understood and may interact in ways that are unforeseen. Much more research is needed, but the potential benefits could be enormous.
