บทคัดย่อ

The red pitaya, a new exotic fruit.

The cactus Hylocereus undafus is native to Nicaragua and is cultivated over a 150-ha area on the west and south slopes of the Mount Santiago volcano. Recently, fruits have been exported to European markets. Ecology, plant development, flowering, fruit characteristics (including composition), clones, cultural requirements, pests and diseases, yields, postharvest handling and storage are discussed.
