บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest biological control of avocado fruit diseases.

Bacillus subtilis alone or integrated with prochloraz and applied with Tag-wax was evaluated for the control of anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata]), the fruit rot complex (Dothiorella aromatica and G. cingulata) and stem end rot, caused by these 2 fungi, Thyronectria pseudotrichia and Phomopsis perseae. The biological and integrated treatments were as effective as the prochloraz-Tag-wax treatment in controlling fruit rot on cv. Fuerte, and anthracnose and stem-end rot on cv. Hass. The integrated treatment was also effective against stem-end rot on Fuerte and Ryan in the packing house at Westfalia Estate. In another experiment, B. subtilis effectively controlled anthracnose and stem-end rot.
