บทคัดย่อ

Potential of income and employment generation through use of agricultural engineering technology in production agriculture and post harvest operations.

The great potential for income and employment generation in production agriculture and postharvest operations through the use of appropriate agricultural engineering technology is discussed taking India as an example of a developing country situation. It is estimated that a 1% increase in the level of mechanization of crop production operations will generate about 500 000 regular jobs. Similarly, if one agro-processing centre for adding value was established in each village, employment could be generated for about two million people.
