บทคัดย่อ

Some fruit and vegetable rots of Bihar: a preliminary survey.

A preliminary survey of fruit and vegetable rots conducted in the markets of Patna and other places in Bihar, India, yielded 43 species of fungi responsible for rots on different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Most of the fruits and vegetables under study were vulnerable to attack by species of Aspergillus and Fusarium. Injured fruits and vegetables succumbed easily to pathogens. The incidence of rot was higher on ripe fruit than unripe fruit. Any particular type of fruit or vegetable could be infected by more than 1 pathogen.
