A short general discussion of aspects of research on the following: cultivars, selections and propagation; fertilization and irrigation; pruning and tree size control; girdling, crop phenology, pollination, flowering and fruit set; insect pests and fruit bats; fungal disease (Armillaria mellea); postharvest diseases and disorders; and marketing and export.
