บทคัดย่อ

Post-harvest handling of Nagpur mandarin.

The Vidarbha region of Maharashtra is the largest area in India growing Nagpur mandarins. However, a large proportion (20-30%) of the fruits are lost due to rough handling, inappropriate packaging, storage and transport, and lack of postharvest treatment. Orchard management practices to improve fruit quality, assessment of fruit maturity and harvesting methods are mentioned. Handling and transport are discussed, with recommendations for packing-house operations, packing-line operations, washing, and transport to the market.
