บทคัดย่อ

Difference in the postharvest metabolism and storage quality of sugarbeet varieties.

In 3-year storage trials (1990-1992) with 30 varieties, the high-sugar varieties had a lower respiration rate and lower sugar loss during storage than varieties of other types. The Belgian variety Oryx had the lowest relative sugar loss during storage and was economically the most promising of the varieties. Low sugar loss was also characteristic of Edda, KW Irma, Sofie, Zita, Victoria, Elan, Meta and KW Duca.
