Prospect of National Food Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Current research into postharvest technology carried out in each division of the Japanese National Food Research Institute is outlined. Recent topics such as utilization of biomass and food preservation and processing technology are discussed briefly.
