ABSTRACT :
Data collected from a sample of 120 farm women in four villages in Baliapal block, Orissa, India, show that farm women are more involved in harvesting and storage of grain than in other agricultural activities, such as fertilizer and pesticide application and crop decision making. However, they were found to be lacking in scientific knowledge about storage and processing, and there is thus a need to intensify training on postharvest technology for women.
