ABSTRACT :
Of 500 Actinomycetes [Actinomycetales] and bacterial strains tested in experiments and field trials, 10 were promising for control of Fusarium graminearum [Gibberella zeae], F. culmorum and F. sporotrichiella [F. sporotrichioides] on wheat grain. Alirin B (Bacillus subtilis) and alirin C (Streptomyces felleus) were highly effective against G. zeae and F. sporotrichioides. Other promising preparations included P-21 (S. chrysomallus), L-242 (S. globisporum) and G-9 (S. loidensis).
