บทคัดย่อ

In vitro and in vivo control of Penicillium digitatum and Botrytis cinerea in citrus fruit by Bacillus subtilis strains.

ABSTRACT :

 

Of 128 bacteria isolated from citrus fruits, 108 belonged to the species B. subtilis. These strains were tested in vitro and in vivo for their effectiveness in controlling P. digitatum and B. cinerea. The growth of P. digitatum was inhibited by >50% by 14 strains in vitro, with a peak of 100% inhibition by strain 160. These 14 strains also inhibited the growth of B. cinerea in vitro by between 60.6 and 86.1%, with strain 13 showing the greatest inhibition. Only strain 160 showed strong inhibitory activity (85.1%) against P. digitatum in vivo, while 11 strains inhibited the growth of B. cinerea by >70%.
