บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest disease and pest control in tropical fruit.

ABSTRACT :

 

The following topics are reviewed: postharvest diseases of tropical fruits and their control (prevention, fungicides, fungicide resistance, fruit bagging, biological control, cultural practices, sampling and selective harvesting); the effects of harvesting, grading, packing and transport on disorders, pests and diseases; eradicant treatments for pathogens (heat treatments, disinfestation, fumigation to control pathogens, systemic fungicides, regulatory constraints, irradiation and packaging); delaying symptom appearance (for instance by modifying the storage atmosphere and temperature); insects and mites of tropical fruits; and non-chemical disinfestation methods and technologies (heat, heating with air, hot water dips, cold, irradiation, other non-chemical options and chemical treatments).
