Fruit and vegetable postharvest handling practices in Vietnam.

ABSTRACT :

 

Fruits and vegetables (temperate, subtropical and tropical) rank second to rice in Vietnam in terms of production area and domestic food consumption. Postharvest management, growing and ripening, determining maturity, harvesting, packing house operations, and storage practices are described.
