Challenges in future postharvest research.

ABSTRACT :

 

The direction of postharvest research in the future is briefly discussed. Areas of investigation are likely to be at the cellular and molecular level. Data on physical processes need to accompany biochemical and molecular research in order to understand the physiological processes involved.
