ABSTRACT :
A survey of arthropod populations occurring on cut flowers of Chamelaucium uncinatum was carried out to determine the main pests of quarantine significance and the effectiveness of dipping as a postharvest disinfestation treatment against those pests. Six orders of arthropods were found: Araneae, Coleoptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Neuroptera and Thysanoptera. Thrips were the most abundant arthropods. Storage dipping of C. uncinatum was found to be an effective method of arthropod disinfestation of flowers.
